TOWN OF OLD LYME

ANNUAL TOWN BUSINESS MEETING

 

        Electors and citizens eligible to vote in Town Meeting are hereby warned that the Annual Town Business Meeting will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. in the Middle School auditorium of Regional District #18, Lyme Street, Old Lyme, Connecticut to consider and act upon the following:

 

To accept the Annual Town Report for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, as submitted

by the Board of Finance.

To announce the recipient of the Board of Selectmen’s Citizen of the Year for 2009.

To approve the re-appointment of Jane R. Marsh to the Connecticut River Estuary Regional Planning Agency (CRERPA), such term to expire in January 2012, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen.

To appropriate $32,000 to fund the engineering work associated with the repair of the Duck River Bridge culvert on McCurdy Road, as recommended by the Board of Finance.

To accept Olivia Lane as a Town road, effective upon the delivery of a warranty deed and the posting of a road maintenance bond, as approved by the Old Lyme Planning Commission.

To approve the lease to SBA Towers II, LLC of a 75 ft x 75 ft portion of the Cross Lane Firehouse premises at 14 Cross Lane for the location of a telecommunications facility (cell tower), together with a vehicular and utility easement to and from Cross Lane, the term of which lease and associated easement is for five years.

To approve the dedication in perpetuity for open space and recreational purposes of a parcel of land owned by the Town at 17 Cross Lane consisting of 46 acres, which open space dedication shall act as a replacement for the premises at 14 Cross Lane dedicated for open space and recreational purposes which would be leased to SBA Towers II, LLC.

To approve amendments to the Harbor Management Ordinance, (Chapter 58 of the Code of Ordinances), as recommended by the Harbor Management Commission.  A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the office of the Old Lyme Town Clerk for review.

To approve amendments to the Fees Ordinance (Chapter 47 of the Code of Ordinances) which authorize waiver of fees or fines under particular circumstances.  A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the office of the Old Lyme Town Clerk for review.

To authorize the waiver of building permit fees associated with the Regional School District 18 High School building project.

LEGAL NOTICE By OLD LYME BOARD OF SELECTMEN

 

Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 7-163e, a public hearing will be conducted concerning a proposed lease to SBA Towers II, LLC of a 75 ft x75 ft portion of the premises at 14 Cross Lane, Old Lyme owned by the Town of Old Lyme for location of a telecommunications facility (cell tower).  Said public hearing will be held on January 19, 2010 at 6 pm in the first floor Meeting Hall of the Old Lyme Town Hall, 52 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT  06371.
